This project was born from the stories of immigrants I met while carpooling across Québec. Many spoke to me about isolation and the challenges of adapting, especially to the harsh climate. Driven by my passion for outdoor living, rain or shine, I felt a deep desire to support them through what had personally helped me fall in love with life here.
It was by forging a strong bond with the land that I developed a genuine sense of belonging in Québec, and I realized I could share that experience with newcomers. This is how the idea emerged: to create intercultural outdoor activities that foster authentic cultural integration, deeply human and rooted in the land.
A question then stayed with me: What if nature had the power to bring cultures closer together?
In a world where social divisions are growing, I believe it's essential to find sustainable ways to bring people together. Through my personal and professional experiences, as well as my research in the field of outdoor education, I’ve seen that nature offers real benefits, but ones still too rarely harnessed in integration processes.
This project highlights inspiring integration stories carried by individuals and organizations, with the goal of encouraging new initiatives, expanding awareness of the role nature can play in building connections, strengthening social cohesion, and contributing to overall well-being.
This project was born from a deep conviction that nature holds a unique power: the power to bring us together, beyond words, origins, and differences.
I have seen too many immigrants experience isolation, sometimes in silence. And I have felt it myself at certain times in my life. I carry this project with the intention of creating spaces where people can meet in a different way, by walking together, cycling side by side, or sharing a fire or a meal outdoors. These are simple, genuine moments where barriers fade and everyone can finally feel they belong.
I deeply believe that every culture is a treasure. I don’t long for a uniform world. I long for a world where differences meet, are shared, and enrich one another. In nature, there is space for everyone. And it is there, in the heart of that raw and honest nature, that true connection takes root.
Nature has given me so much: calm, strength, and a sense of belonging. It allowed me to put down roots in Québec, to truly feel this land as my home. I hope others can experience that same feeling, that the place they live can also become a place of life, of momentum, and of well-being for them.
I don’t want to stand by and do nothing. I believe we all have a role to play in building a more human world, one where we see each other, speak to each other, and support one another. This project is an invitation to take action, together, to build bridges and make inclusion a true source of richness.
I am convinced that when we feel good where we are, we naturally want to get involved, to contribute, to shine. Inclusion is not just a value, it’s an energy that flows, that uplifts everyone, that creates movement, solidarity, and that invisible yet essential wealth: human connection.
Just as nature gives us life and connects us all, I want to encourage people to treat it as a member of their family, to value it, and to protect it.
A humanist at heart and a passionate self-taught creator, I am guided by a deep sensitivity to both people and the living world. Through the art of image-making, I strive to capture what connects us, what moves us, what uplifts us. Every detail matters to me because I truly believe that it is in sensitivity, authenticity, and emotion that stories are born. These are the stories that leave a lasting imprint.
I invite you to join me on a human journey, a deeply committed documentary project: a cycling expedition from Alaska to Patagonia, starting in June 2025. The goal is to explore how nature can become a bridge between cultures, a fertile ground for connection, solidarity, inclusion, and well-being.
As an experienced outdoor adventurer, photographer, content creator, guide, and facilitator, as well as a university and college-level teacher in outdoor education, my path weaves together exploration, pedagogy, listening, and wonder. This human richness is what I want to bring to this project.
I am touched by every gesture of support in all its forms, and I sincerely thank everyone who believes in this vision. Every contribution, every share, every word of encouragement makes a real difference. Thanks to you, this project can come to life and give voice to a deep belief: that nature can bring us together, heal us, and awaken us.
I am fully committed to creating something true, beautiful, and meaningful. And I deeply believe that the story I want to tell deserves to be heard.
Through this bike journey, the documentary explores a fascinating question: can nature be a universal space of encounter, where differences fade to give way to deep, lasting connections? Along the way, I meet people from diverse cultures, each finding in nature a means to link their own culture with that of others. My journey thus becomes a shared experience of adaptation and resilience, where every challenge on the road mirrors theirs.
By overcoming isolation, cultural challenges, and adapting to new horizons, I immerse myself in their stories, where each difficulty, whether psychological or physical, becomes a reflection of our shared struggles. Through these stories, exchanges, reflections, and insights from experts, we discover how the natural environment influences social connection, global well-being, and the sense of belonging.
Beyond being a mere backdrop, can nature foster encounters, mutual understanding, and offer a space where everyone can thrive while remaining true to their identity?
What I want this documentary to leave behind is a deeply positive imprint on the hearts and minds of people around the world, highlighting the power of nature as a powerful means to take the first step toward others and celebrate the richness of cultural diversity. We are all interconnected, humans and nature. We are part of it, and we need it and each other, inclusively, to evolve. Without nature and others, near or far, life simply would not exist.
I hope:
